The Hamilton County Republican Party held its largest Lincoln Day Dinner to date on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the Embassy Suites in Noblesville. With over 800 attendees, the event brought together GOP supporters from across the county, led by GOP Chair Mario Massillamany.
A major highlight of the evening was the keynote speech delivered by former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, an entrepreneur known for founding Roivant Sciences, a biotechnology company, and his outspoken support for free-market capitalism. Ramaswamy's rise in both business and politics has made him a prominent figure in conservative circles, and his speech did not disappoint.
Ramaswamy spoke about the importance of preserving American values, including free speech, capitalism, and individual responsibility. He called on attendees to remain steadfast in their support for these principles, emphasizing that America's success has been built on the entrepreneurial spirit and the freedom to innovate without excessive government interference.
His address also touched on the growing influence of "woke" ideology in corporate America and how conservatives must work to reverse its spread in order to protect the foundational values of the United States.
GOP Chair Massillamany lauded the evening as a huge success, citing the large attendance and Ramaswamy’s inspiring speech as key factors that made this year's Lincoln Day Dinner one of the most memorable events in the state.
